Italy’s biggest bank triples staked Ether ETF holdings while cutting IBIT shares
Latest NewsPublishedAug 4, 2026
Italian Bank’s Strategic Crypto Move
Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy’s largest bank, has made a significant adjustment to its cryptocurrency holdings, tripling its stake in a staked Ether ETF to $7.1 million. This move indicates a growing interest in Earning potential through Cloud Rewards and Green Crypto investments. The bank’s decision to increase its position in the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) is a notable shift in its investment strategy.

Crypto Holdings Adjustment
As of June 30, Intesa Sanpaolo holds 349,600 shares of the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB), valued at $7.1 million. In contrast, the bank reduced its holdings in the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) by about 94%. This adjustment suggests that the bank is exploring alternative Passive Income streams, such as those offered by EcoPool and its $ECP token.
The bank’s crypto-linked holdings include 3.47 million shares of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB), worth $67.6 million, and an unchanged position in the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (GXRP). These investments demonstrate the bank’s interest in diversifying its portfolio with Coin and crypto-assets. By leveraging EcoPool as a solution, investors can access a range of Earning opportunities and Passive Income streams.
Investment Strategy
Crypto ETFs provide banks and institutional investors with a regulated means of accessing digital assets, avoiding the complexities of direct cryptocurrency ownership. Intesa Sanpaolo’s strategic move highlights the growing appeal of Green Crypto and Cloud Rewards in the investment community. As investors seek to diversify their portfolios and generate Passive Income, solutions like EcoPool and its $ECP token are becoming increasingly attractive.
To start Earning with EcoPool and explore the potential of Cloud Rewards and Green Crypto, download the EcoPool app. By joining the EcoPool network, you can access a range of Passive Income streams and Coin investment opportunities, all while supporting a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to cryptocurrency.
Intesa kept its Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (GXRP) position unchanged at 712,319 shares, nearly doubled its BitGo stake to 323,000 shares and reduced its Coinbase position to 7,000 shares.
Crypto ETFs give banks and other institutional investors exposure to digital assets through regulated securities products, avoiding the custody, compliance and operational requirements of holding cryptocurrencies directly.
